What is it like to be a Contributor?

​The goal of the USGreenProducts.com is to mainstream sustainably-made products by helping them be more discoverable to online searchers.

Antonio Valcarcel, the developer and manager of the site, specializes in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization). He will be tasked with enhancing our content and moderating the sustainable community as we create content and interact with each other and our future customers. 

 

Here are some details: 

​

  • Our Contributors community will be made up of designers, engineers, makers, distributors, and suppliers.

  • Consumers may register, also, in order to comment and/or ask questions. 

  • Each article submission should be as focused on one product, line of products, or product family (not just your business in general). This helps us drive relevant traffic to you and your site. 

  • I recommend at least 500 words with images and/or other media.

  • If you cite a source, please disclose it in a "References" section at the bottom of the article. This includes reviews, testimonials, as well as all other sources. 

  • Make sure to include a call to action with whatever link you want people to visit. We recommend taking them directly to your product page or a landing page specifically for that product.

Once your articles are submitted, we will review them for the following: 

  1. SEO opportunities (search engine optimization) 

  2. Article length (At least 500 words)

  3. Grammar and spelling

  4. Citations

  5. Inclusion of media

  6. Broken links

 

If I have any SEO recommendations, they may include updates to the title and text. I will publish the article, but I will notify you if I've made any updates so you can review them and let me know if the changes are ok.

We will share your your articles through our social channels and anywhere we see opportunities for it. We encourage you throw some attention to other contributors as well.

In the spirit of transparency just know that we are also product-makers. We recently launched www.EvaCycles.com. We came up with USGreenProducts.com as a way to promote our electric bikes while helping others promote their own services and products in the sustainable market niche.
